SecureAtom AtomSmasher

The SecureAtom AtomSmasher provides secure deletion to insure that deleted files are completely unrecoverable.

Even after a file deletion it is simple to recover a deleted file, which provides a convenience in certain scenarios. In todays world security is highly important with the vulnerability of a laptop being stolen, data being lifted of hard drives which was thought to be safely disposed of but hackers lifted vulnerable data and a wide range of other issues. SecureAtom has addressed the issue with AtomSmasher which thoroughly deletes files, The AtomSmasher has multiple deletion methods which are:

  • Gutmann 35 passes Based on Peter Gutmann's paper "Secure Deletion of Data from Magnetic and Solid-State    Memory". This is one of the most secure algorithm and the files wiped by it are impossible recovered.
  • Simple NSA 1 Pass first overwrite file data with zeros and then Repeat this process in cycle over file until you reach the end of file. This is supposed to be best method if you want to Quickly Wipe data with minimum number of passes.
  • Advanced NSA-M  2 passes  first pass writes zeros and then overwrite it with ones. Second pass, unlike first pass, start overwrite with 1 and then overwrites all these 1s with zeros (also termed as NULL characters). Due to this, original data is absolutely gone and furthermore the overlapping layer of zeros and ones that wiped the data, itself gets wiped with another layer of reversed order zeros and ones.
  • Pseudorandom Data Wipe
  • User Defined up to 10 wipes
